Located on the outskirts of the city centre, on the edge of Phoenix Park and on the banks of the Liffey, the new 2,000sqft space will showcase our wide-ranging commercial interiors collections and has been opened to cater to the city’s thriving architect and design community.
We will share the building with Interface, a commercial flooring company with a global footprint. The showroom joins our original Bray location in order to better service the large number of city-based A&D firms who are responsible for designing many of Dublin’s commercial spaces, including offices and retail units.
The opening of the new Dublin showroom follows the recent relaunch of Bisley’s prestigious Dubai showroom, and the opening of a brand-new showroom in Manchester last summer, its first in the north of England.
The investment in our UK and global showrooms is part of a wider programme of expansion, as we also look to consolidate the recent diversification into the domestic interiors market. As part of this diversification, we recently acquired Irish soft seating manufacturer, Thomas Montgomery. And in March, Bisley also made a significant investment into Cornish furniture design brand, MARK Product, a small sustainably led brand owned by two product designers which is well known to those in the design sector.
Paul Dunne, Managing Director of Bisley Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be launching and opening our second Bisley Ireland showroom, here in Dublin. This new, central location will service our A&D firms who design many of the city’s offices and retail spaces. We look forward to working closer than ever with our clients as the design and interiors industries continue to grow and thrive.”
Denise Clemenger, Bisley’s Head of A&D Ireland, who is spearheading the new Dublin location, said: “The opening of our second Irish showroom is an important step for us as we look to consolidate our position within Dublin’s architect and design community.
“There are so many exciting commercial projects taking place in Dublin and further afield and we want to be a crucial partner in their delivery and execution. Our new Dublin location will enable us to be at the heart of the action.”
Richard Costin, Bisley CEO said: “The opening of our second Irish showroom, and our first in the beautiful city of Dublin, has been a long-held goal of ours and is part of a wider international diversification and expansion programme in key global markets.
“Our international trade relationships remain crucial to us as a British company based in Wales who has long exported to all four corners of the globe. And as one of our nearest neighbours, just across the Irish Sea, we’re looking forward to working on many more exciting projects in Dublin and beyond.”
