Ty Hotels

A great new spot to eat, meet and stay over, this exciting new hotel is launched in partnership with the Port of Milford Haven and Milford Waterfront.

Managed and operated by the team responsible for the iconic Celtic Manor Resort, Tŷ Hotel Milford Haven - measuring 46,000 sq ft – is part of the expanding portfolio in The Celtic Collection and the Tŷ Hotels family, in partnership with the Port of Milford Haven. Offering a variety of beautifully furnished, design-led rooms, the hotel is suitable for all types of travellers, from business to leisure.

This exciting project enabled us to showcase our extensive capabilities to work on large-scale projects, as well as increasing our wood offering in the industry.

Brief

The brief was to create a range of bespoke pieces to complement and reflect Tŷ Hotel Milford Haven’s contemporary and stylish look and feel throughout each of its 100 bedrooms, spanning four floors. The hotel was looking for a variety of products, produced locally and to a high standard using the very best materials on offer. The brief included a supersized padded headboard that would be easy to clean, co-ordinating bedside tables, a large double wardrobe to enable guests to store and organise their personal belongings, a dressing table, a matching hard-wired tall mirror with integrated sockets, and to finish, a mirror to reflect the unique branding of the hotel.

Delivery

Throughout the project, we worked closely with The Celtic Collection to blend strength, encourage creativity, and discuss new ideas for the benefit of the hotel and guests. We manufactured and produced a number of bespoke pieces using the highest quality materials, with style, durability, and functionality at the forefront.

As the brief specified, we delivered a super-sized, padded headboard upholstered with an easy-to-clean, antimicrobial fabric that fits perfectly with the aesthetic of each room. We produced co-ordinating bedside tables – enabling guests to safely store smaller personal items. We designed beautiful, wooden double wardrobes with bespoke internal fittings ideal for hanging coats and store big, bulky suitcases.

We also produced a sleek dressing table with a black exposed steel frame, a large hard-wired tall mirror backed onto a wooden panel with an integrated socket which allows guests to charge a phone or laptop, and finally, a stunning droplet shaped wall mirror in a black steel frame – a real centrepiece within every room. This exciting project enabled us to showcase our extensive capabilities to work on large-scale projects, as well as increasing our wood offering in the industry.

Graeme Matthews, Bisley’s Director of UK Sales said; “At Bisley, we’ve worked on a number of significant residential and hospitality projects. Our latest partnership with the Celtic Collection has enabled us to continue growing our market share in the hospitality sector, as well as our wood offering in the industry. “As a business, we’re fully committed to supporting our local economy, especially when our Bisley headquarters and factory still remain in Newport, South Wales. Our work for the Tŷ Hotel has demonstrated our capabilities, as a manufacturer, to work on large-scale projects while delivering high-quality and functional products within the timescales and budget provided by our clients.”

Celtic Collection Cluster Hotel Director, Matt Barnby, says: “The case-goods furniture designed and installed by Bisley is the perfect fit for the contemporary look and feel of our bedrooms at Tŷ Hotel Milford Waterfront, and they finish off the rooms perfectly. We always look to work with local Welsh suppliers where possible and, when we decided to broaden our horizons to West Wales, it was great to be able to take a trusted supplier from Newport with us on the journey.”
