Phew – what a brilliant week that was!
It was so good to be back at Clerkenwell Design Week for the first time in three years and to welcome so many industry professionals and guests to our showroom to see what we’ve been up to during the course of the pandemic.
We were proud to finally be able to show our latest innovations and designs, including LockerWall, Primary Lockers, Quarters, Kubbi, our effortless Living by Bisley range, and of course, our beautiful Belong collection. Our design classics, such as the MultiDrawer and our robust filing systems were also dotted – in our newly launched colours - throughout.
Our overriding theme for this year and indeed, the future, is Sustainability – a vital conversation for all of us in the furniture industry and beyond, which we took as the perfect opportunity to showcase our initiatives; what we’re looking to do in the future to become an even greener Bisley. We launched our Sustainability Green Book, which highlights our vision and commitments to continuously improve upon the high standards we set ourselves – for our colleagues, customers, and our future.
To further highlight our vision and ethos, we were keen to collaborate with a local social enterprise who have a similar passion and drive for sustainable manufacturing and repurposing. We chose to work with RAW Workshop – a charity that produces high-quality wooden furniture, while offering reclaimed timber and other services, including wood recycling and grounds maintenance. Set up to drive a positive impact on people and our planet, the charity employs and upskills individuals who have previously experienced mental health, addiction, homelessness, imprisonment, and other social issues.
The team at RAW were challenged to reimagine some of our design classics: the MultiDrawer and our Four-Drawer Filing Cabinet . The result was a stylish yet productive desktop kitchen, perfect for students or for those who live in smaller accommodation, with compartments for various tools and trinkets. Our Filer was completely transformed to become ‘The DuoSpace’. With its robust build quality and smart design, it created a dual-purpose space that provides a compact home office and doubles as a space to enjoy a range of hobbies.
It was brilliant to be back at CDW, networking, connecting, and inspiring one another with new, creative ideas. We’d like to thank you all for dropping by our showroom throughout the week – if you’d like to find out any more about any of our products, you can download the Everything Bisley brochure here or by visiting the Bisley website.
