Aberdeen City Council

Flexibility for Iconic Headquarters

Aberdeen City Council recently took occupancy of their iconic new headquarters in the city centre. The category A listed landmark, originally known as Marischal College is the 2nd Largest Granite building in the world

The goal of the £68 million project was to create an environmentally sustainable landmark building as a focus for the Council’s drive to make Aberdeen the energy capital of Europe.

The 1300 staff now occupy 174,000sqft over 4 floors within their headquarters and flexible storage solutions were required to house their existing file media with the ability to adapt to newer media in the future. Bisley were able to meet this requirement with their LateralFile™ range, complimented by Note pedestals for personal storage for each employee.
