Publicis

Delivering secure storage, employee collaboration and creativity

Founded in 1926, Publicis is one of the largest communications companies in the world, renowned for its creativity, best in class technology, digital and consulting expertise. Having opened a new offi ce in Boston in 2018, the company operates from more than 100 locations globally and employs over 80,000 people worldwide.

Brief

Publicis considers their offi ce space an important way to support the company’s core values: creativity, leadership, openness, collaboration and wellbeing. Therefore, Bisley was tasked to provide secure personal storage for both visiting and permanent staff at their new offi ces in Boston, as well as develop a homely, residential feel for the open plan office and collaborative areas.

Solutions

Working in partnership with Elkus Manfredi Architects, Bisley installed banks of six MySpace lockers on top of LateralFile drawers, fitted with postal slots and digital keypad locks. A warmer atmosphere was created by wrapping the banks in soft-colored laminate cladding and feet. In addition to personal storage, bespoke AV units and recycling spaces were installed for touch down seating. Brightly colored pinnable, magnetic fabric panels were added to the backs of the locker banks to aid acoustic absorption within the open plan environment and create a multiuse surface.

Results

As the office is based in Boston, where it is frequently snowy and well below freezing for much of the year, larger open storage zones created with LateralFile drawers at the bottom of the lockers allow staff to store winter boots and heavy Jackets. Therefore, we were able to provide a bespoke storage environment that looks beautiful, while providing employees with zones to stow, meet and relax.
