Recognised for our high standards

On Thursday 5 November we were awarded the Manufacturing Guild Mark by the Furniture Makers’ Company. This award assures all our customers that the furniture they are buying is made with care, and that Bisley adheres to the highest standards throughout its operations.

Paul von der Heyde, the Chairman of the Manufacturing Guild Mark committee, presented the prestigious award to Paul Crutcher Operations Director and members of our manufacturing team in a small ceremony at our Newport factory.

Paul said “Bisley joins a small, elite group of holders to receive this prestigious award, which recognises excellence in design, sustainability and production. I am delighted to be able to award this to such a high profile British manufacturer.”

The Furniture Makers’ Company is a City of London livery company and the UK furnishing industry’s charity. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2013. The Furniture Makers nurture the British furniture manufacturing industry and focus on education and welfare and champion the very highest standards.

The Manufacturing Guild Mark is the mark of excellence for Britain’s top furniture and furnishing manufacturers. To achieve it, we had to demonstrate excellence in design and innovation, customer service, quality and environmental sustainability; as well as integrity in all aspects of marketing, finance, working practices and training.

Paul Crutcher, Operations Director, said “This is a highly regarded accolade from an independent and respected source and it’s a testament to everybody’s hard work and enthusiasm for our business. This recognition is for everyone here at Bisley, and I delighted.”
