Women in Office Design – round-table discussion

Sep 10, 2020|

Yesterday we hosted (and sponsored) the Women in Office Design round table event at our Clerkenwell showroom!

In what was described as a ‘hybrid’ event – the first of its kind for WOD – 10 experts from the furniture dealer community joined the (socially distanced) live discussion to talk about the future of our businesses after the pandemic. These included:

- Amanda Salt from Salt & Pegram

- Jacqui Withnell MSc from WeSpace Limited

- Hannah Robinson from Office Principles

- Alexandra Gonzalez Arias from Workplace Creations

- Jemma Grace from Hunts Office

- Eve Waldron from Eve Waldron Design

- Jessica Black from obo life

- Moderated from Beth Harrison

The discussion was hosted in our showroom by Sally Rice, who runs her own Business Operations Consultancy (view her website here), and Harsha Kotak, who is the founder of WOD and a Design Manager at K2 Space.

There was also an audience attendance of around 40 members of WOD digital, who attended via Zoom and took part in a live Q&A.

Questions surrounding the future of our workplace were raised, and other key themes included transparency of ideas, willingness to collaborate, and sharing a joint passion for all that is good in our industry.

Due to the popularity of the event, WOD are planning a part 2, so keep an eye on our social media and the WOD Digital Platform.
