Located just off Junction 24 of the M4 motorway, Tŷ Newport is a short drive from Newport city centre, the Celtic Manor Resort, ICC Wales and is within 25 miles of Cardiff and Bristol. This new destination is another exciting addition to their growing Celtic Collection, offering an ideal place to stay if you are attending an event or looking to book a golf break.
The brief was to continue to provide our range of bespoke pieces to complement and reflect the Tŷ brand, as more locations are being built across the country. The brand has a contemporary and stylish look and feel, and this is reflected throughout the Newport site’s 146 bedrooms.
The client’s brief was to create a range of furniture, produced locally and to a high standard using the best materials on offer. The selection included a super-sized padded headboard that would be easy to clean, co-ordinating bedside tables, large double wardrobe to enable guests to store and organise their personal belongings, a dressing table, a matching tall mirror with integrated power and key card point, and to finish, a stunning droplet shaped mirror that reflects the unique branding of the hotel.
Throughout the project, we worked closely with The Celtic Collection to blend strength, encourage creativity, and discuss new ideas for the benefit of the hotel’s guests.
We manufactured and produced a number of bespoke pieces using the highest quality materials, with style, durability, and functionality at the forefront.
As the brief specified, we delivered a super-sized, padded headboard upholstered with an easy-to-clean, anti-microbial fabric that fits perfectly with the aesthetic of the hotel. We produced co-ordinating bedside tables – another way for guests to safely store smaller, more personal items. We designed beautiful, wooden double wardrobes with bespoke internal fittings which is ideal to hang coats and store big, bulky suitcases.
We also produced a sleek dressing table with a black exposed steel frame, a tall mirror mounted on to a backboard where you can charge your phone or laptop, and finally, a droplet-shaped wall mirror in a black steel frame – a real centrepiece within every room.
We feel that this exciting project enabled us to further demonstrate our extensive, sector-diverse capabilities, working on large-scale projects, including those within the hospitality sector.
