Poise by Bisley is part of our new Belong collection, which has been developed to transcend both the traditional office and homeworking environments. The Poise range consists of a variety of desking and table options, which can either be used as stand-alone pieces of furniture or sit together to form a cohesive office setting. Calling on our heritage in workplace innovation, all have been designed in response to the events of 2020, seamlessly adapting to fit either the home or a commercial office environment.
The Poise Desk creates a striking aesthetic, with a unique steel sleeve providing under-desk storage. This enables a clutter-free work area, leaving space to focus and function on busy working days. The 1400mm wide x 600mm deep x 740mm high desk has an understated charm, with a white ply worktop and legs realised in natural oak. This contrasts beautifully with the curved steel shelving, available in a choice of colours, ranging from the muted tones of teal and Prussian blue, to brighter Seville red, providing a pop of colour to your workspace, no matter where you are.
The Poise Task Table works around you so that you can truly perform anywhere. Portable and lightweight, it can change almost any seat into a comfortable and stylish workspace. A space saver with a sleek contour that wraps around, the Poise Task Table adapts to your environment, providing a perch point to work wherever you are sitting. Suitable for supporting a laptop or serving as an occasional table, it can enable work or play in equal measure. Echoing the Poise Desk, the Task Table has a white ply top and is supported by a steel frame, available in the same extensive colour palette.
Stylishly complement your workplace with the elegant Poise Sideboard. Crafted out of laminated white ply, the Poise Sideboard coordinates beautifully with all of the Poise range and fits seamlessly into any working environment. Add a sweep of colour to your room with steel doors, while the Poise Sideboard’s simple, clean lines combine design and practical storage for any room. With its unique Poise legs and adjustable interior shelving, the Poise sideboard provides an understated, minimalist place to pop your printer or other belongings. That way, when you have finished your work, you can simply pack your day away.
The Poise Coffee Table sits beautifully with the Poise Task Table, Poise Desk and Poise Sideboard to complete your working environment. The coffee table allows you to break up your working day with a space to recharge or collaborate. The angled shape, plus wood and steel finishing completes the look, adding to this practical and aesthetically pleasing collection.
Designer of the Poise Collection, William Knight commented, “Having worked at Bisley for 9 years, this project was something different to the day-to-day I’m used to but, I enjoyed it! Being able to collaborate with different departments across the business while utilising the capabilities we have in the factory was great to see. Our factory is geared up to work in a certain way, so it was a challenge tweaking the designs to make sure our proposal could become a reality. We have great technical engineers, so the challenge was soon overcome sand Poise was created! Moving forward, I think there will be developments in the way workplaces are designed and researched to find out if the balance of home working brings out the best in people in their new working environments.”
