Standard Bank
Standard Bank’s stylish new headquarters for its Corporate and Investment Banking Division is located on London’s Gresham Street. The building, which boasts a BREEM “excellent” rating, was designed by architect KPF.
The workspace itself also places a strong emphasis on sustainability, with Bisley making a key contribution as well as providing a range of storage options from pedestals to filing cabinets.
Workplace design specialist Gensler was commissioned to create a 11,000sq m workplace, accommodating 1,000 staff across three floors. As well as making extensive use of Bisley LateralFile units to provide storage - finished in a dramatic black with glass tops - Gensler also specified RecycleSpace units, which each provide three 80 litre recycling bins within a single LateralFile cupboard.
Other highlights of the project include 32 Bisley LateralFile cabinets, which were modified to provide three drawers of bespoke height. Special 1,200mm wide units were also specified, which together form a curved credenza for the office of a senior staff member.
